Crimes were committed and continue to be covered up for and by the rich elite. I get being sick of hearing about it, but you might have stopped hearing about it if justice had been served for the victims. But it hasn't. What Epstein and his friends did was not pedophilia, it was systematic abuse of power, influence and access. Does it make us uncomfortable because of how the media covers it? Yes. But that doesn't obsolve the criminals for their misdeeds.

Can one really be "proud" and also feel the need to announce themselves as "non acting"? Is there pride in publicly contorting oneself into what we think will make antis hate us less? I'm non acting, but announcing that while also trying to advocate for acceptance is giving up the argument before it even starts.

How do we coalesce around a movement if we're still struggling with definitions for who everyone is, what words mean, who gets to be in our little club and how pure our members are? It becomes a circular firing squad with unarmed people in the middle still trying to figure out what to call everyone.

I'm not sure how to describe the feeling of anxiety and fear yet relief and excitement that goes with having someone you know who isn't a map become aware of your mapness. There is a daily balancing act of encouragement and hope that the pendulum of understanding and acceptance continues to outweigh the societal pressure for the individual to turn their back on you. It's a tight rope without a net.
