Don't listen to these folks asking you to ask for money from jack and the others. Your product can stand on it's own, there's no need to beg and there's no need to be beholden to anyone.
If Damus is truly that important to it's user base then they should support it!
If Damus brings value then it should receive value in return. If it doesn't bring value and, you fail to elicit value from your users then it's doomed to fail.

Consider self hosting your music.
You will not be encumbered by very limited splits.
Your music will be available to more modern podcast/ music apps.
You will have complete control of your music feed to do with as you wish.

I personally believe that any un-homesteaded property is fair game for anyone to homestead and claim it as their own as their own.
A good book that describes this is "For a New Liberty" by Murray M. Rothbard
Also listen to Stephen Kinsella's podcast "Kinsella on Liberty" he gives very good explanations.
If the property is currently homesteaded then a mutual agreement between the property owner and the individual wishing to take possession must be arranged.
I don't believe governments can do this as a government is not a person and therefore has no ability to possess anything.

Did you know that Wavlake does not submit your music to podcastindex.org ?
Which means apps like lnbeats.com and fountain.fm cannot search for your music.
The only reason that any Wavlake music is in the index is because people notice this problem and manually submit it for you.
Mike Neumann had submitted dozens of songs to the index.
Wavlake should get their act together.

I'm Considering doing musician interviews on my show. I need help finding open source software that I can use.
I'd like it to be able to play nicely with jackd into Ardour my DAW.
I'd like to be able to record my voice and the musician's voice on separate tracks.
Must be Linux compatible.
Ideally musician could use a browser on their end.
I'm not opposed to self hosting my own server.
Live broadcast streaming is not reqd. My show is canned.
Anyone out there know of such a software?
