and the affects are everywhere - so because people were being subsidized to move here, Vanguard and StateStreet blahblah bought up the houses at top dollar and raised rents, so not only did property tax go up considerably based on these unreasonable valuations, the avg rent went from $850 to $1200, so that 'extremely low cost of living' simply doesn't exist any more. All that, and living here is worse.
