I hope so, but there is a big difference between the 'public court' and the criminal court - a criminal court requires proof beyond reasonable doubt, and the links in the chain have to all be demonstrated to be linked. If the case fails, and it is thrown out of court, it would be a major disaster (like Alec Baldwin case collapsed). It's pretty important this case is brought to trial when it is ready to be won. It's not been very fast, but now seems to have a breakthrough.

but it creates imparity (is there such a word?) with the majority of users who would not have those restrictions lifted. Proving that politicians are treated unequally to the majority of users... We either all equal or we are not, there is no half equality.

I gather it is ongoing still and suppose they want to very sure before they pounce on a politician but it has already taken quite a long time... But there are SO many corruption and fraud cases!
