thx! ..i've made a bunch of i3 themes, this Mint-L-Dark-Brown is my new favorite.. ..X11 still works fine for me so far, i'll be digging into Sway closer to Debian 14 release around 2027, so it's not that far off.. ..i want a manual tiler, so Hyprland prob wouldn't be a good fit for my workflow.. ..i'm also not a fan of transparency/gradient effects or rounded windows, but i know that's the hot thing.. ..minimal is more my thing

i made a custom LibreWolf `userContent.css` file so the main/search body area will match Adwaita-Dark and Mint-Dark themes (the accent color is pulled in from the GTK theme), and it replaces the blurry/pixelated search icon with the default LibreWolf icon..

about a month ago i switched my default browser to Brave from Firefox.. ..the first couple of weeks it was great, but a few Brave updates later and it just looks and feels buggier than Firefox.. ..i switched my dotfiles (and my post-install scripts) back to Firefox as the default, with Brave still installed as a backup in case of rare site compatibility issues or for testing, etc.

checking out Pragha Music Player.. ..cmus is usually my go-to for music, but Pragha seems like a nice and efficient GUI app option.. ..though, it's not sending track-change notifications on LXQt.. ..out of pure curiosity i will need to look into that (not a deal breaker)

i updated my `install-mint-themes.sh` script that installs Linux Mint themes and icons on Debian (and Ubuntu).. ..i updated all the .deb package version numbers to the most recent versions that are available in the Linux Mint repos and changed the curl -s flag to the -# flag so a progress bar is now displayed as each package is downloaded.. ..the Linux Mint repos are a bit slow at the moment which makes me think that the Linux Mint 22 release is gonna happen very very soon..

i was messing around with LXQt a bit more and went ahead and made a Debian post-install script.. ..it installs the LXQt desktop environment and a base set of apps for a ready-to-use desktop session.. ..the default configuration is for use with HiDPI monitors (192 dpi settings), but there is an option at the end of the script that lets you change to 96 dpi settings for use with standard non-HiDPI monitors..

..for some [odd] reason i was seeing screen tearing with the Nvidia GPU.. ..i was able to use `picom` to fix this.. ..i also used the bookworm-backports Linux kernel to take advantage of the Intel e-core/p-core CPU optimizations..
