They are the actions of institutions that finally understand Satoshi actually delivered: a form of money that can, in practice, be censorship-resistant, seizure-resistant, and (with modest discipline) surveillance-resistant.
To stay censorship-resistant, seizure-resistant, and surveillance-resistant, never put your bitcoin on any KYC exchange or custodian, never reuse addresses, acquire and spend only through direct P2P, in-person cash trades, run your own node, use CoinJoin/PayJoin/Silent Payments when moving on-chain, and do everyday spending over Lightning.
Do only that, nothing illegal required, and no government on Earth can freeze, confiscate, or reliably track your money today.
That’s the entire “don’t play by their rules” strategy in one sentence: use Bitcoin the way Satoshi built it, not the way regulators wish you would.

KYC is the main issue, not traceability itself. Even if you manage to execute a perfect CoinJoin and break the on-chain link, when you try to convert back to fiat or use a regulated service, the Travel Rule requires you to prove the origin of the funds.
MiCA + Travel Rule + the power to 'remove' you even when you temporarily achieve privacy.

As a curiosity, little is known about the language of the ancient Dacians, but Trajan’s Column provides a clue that the Dacian and Latin languages were closely related, as Roman soldiers appear to communicate directly with the Dacians without interpreters. The Romanian language is a Romance language, but the brief Roman occupation does not seem to be the sole reason why Romanian is a Romance language today, especially since the Romans did not conquer all of Dacia, and beyond the occupied territory lived the free Dacians, who were not subjected to colonization. By way of comparison, Britannia was a Roman colony for approximately 400 years. This period was marked by Roman influence on the region’s culture, economy, and infrastructure. Yet, the British do not speak a Romance language today... Food for thought.

After the victory over the Dacians, according to the historian Dio Cassius and Criton, Emperor Trajan’s personal physician, the Roman legions brought back from Dacia, as war booty, no less than 166 tons of gold and 331 tons of silver.
Today, the value of that gold alone would amount to nearly 10 billion euros, calculating the price of a gram of gold at an average of 60 euros, or 300 lei.
Initially, the impact of the plundered Dacian gold replenished the imperial treasury. Moreover, the emperor took unprecedented measures.
For instance, he organized 123 days of games and battles, involving no fewer than 10,000 gladiators, canceled all debts, and exempted all taxpayers from state taxes for one year.
Additionally, he gifted each Roman head of household 650 denarii, an amount equivalent to the price of several able-bodied slaves.
He also funded numerous monuments and buildings and drained the marshes around the capital of the empire.
Furthermore, he moved an entire hill to make way for the space where he later erected the famous Trajan’s Column.
However, the wealth of precious metal soon revealed its adverse effects, leading to the first collapse in the price of gold in human history.
Its value dropped by nearly a tenth across the vast Roman Empire.
The situation became so severe that, in 107 AD, Trajan was forced to implement a monetary reform, devaluing gold and silver coins.
At the same time, the Roman prefect of Egypt adjusted the exchange rate between the two metals.
Thus, nearly 2,000 years ago, the Dacian gold plundered by the Romans, in a way, took its revenge on its plunderers, triggering the first form of financial crisis in history.

OK, folks, I will share with you my experience regarding the search for a new partner for off-ramping from Bitcoin. In the last three weeks, I have encountered the inflexibility of the partners we have been working with until now. I won’t name names, but I can tell you that to renew the KYB/KYC verification, we had to send more than a dozen emails, explaining the situation over and over again to employees who seemed unaware of each other. They took two weeks to verify the identity document!
You will understand that it is not the same to deal with bureaucrats or with Bitcoiners. We have been with these partners for many years, but every time we had contact with them, it felt like they were there to put obstacles in our way, not to help us.
I knew that BullBitcoin had recently opened its branch in the EU, so I initially tested the system as an individual to see how they operate. What took the competition two weeks took them just a few minutes, the KYC verification was done quickly, limited to the essentials, and I was assured that the data used for verification would be deleted afterward. A Bitcoin Lightning exchange to Euro (300 euros) took exactly two minutes, and I had the money in my bank account, at a very favorable exchange rate (see the images).
Then, today, I had the pleasure of having a video call with @`Théo Mogenet` and @`science_genial` from @`BULLBITCOIN.COM` Europe, two true Bitcoiners with whom I felt we shared the same values and visions. They explained to me how their model works, the advantages and features of the platform, and I realized that the company we were working with before would have no chance against them in the near future.
Why? Because we are dealing with two contrasting perspectives: one outdated, trapped in the past and inflexible in the face of challenges, and another that comes directly from the vision of someone who understands Bitcoin not just in essence but especially in its spirit. @`FRANCIS - BULLBITCOIN.COM` has brought to the EU something we desperately needed: an innovative service, from Bitcoiners for Bitcoiners.
As a German proverb says, don’t go to the little blacksmith, go to the blacksmith. "Geh gleich zum Schmied und nicht zum Schmiedl". You will be better off.
As for the rest, what can I say... I hope the EU doesn’t strangle us, this increasingly restrictive and challenging environment is becoming hostile for Bitcoin-related businesses.

That might work if you have a business selling eggs from your backyard chickens or doing handmade crafts in your spare time. Businesses need fiat currency to operate in today’s world, you can’t keep all the Bitcoin you receive. Not because I wouldn’t want that, but because you need to pay suppliers and taxes in fiat.
If you’re running a hobby business, you can do it the way you suggest. I’m looking for something else, as I mentioned in my post. We are an "actual Bitcoin business," and our needs go beyond small-scale solutions.
