I honestly really like this current one. It's simple and perfect as an Android notification icon. I'm telling you this as a graphic designer.
Maybe making the background dark gray instead of black would help it display better on black wallpapers like mine.

Lately I’ve been taking much longer to finish a painting.
I need to observe it more.
I watch the colors dry and reflect the light differently.
I’m not trying to paint something “beautiful.”
Beauty alone lasts a moment.
A quick glance, and then the eye moves on.
When I paint, I’m looking for something else.
Something that makes you stop in front of the canvas for more than a second.
A small friction.
A feeling you can’t explain right away.
Something that keeps you there a little longer.
If that happens, then the painting has truly begun to live.

È sempre molto complicato quantificare il valore di qualsiasi opera d'arte.
Personalmente non guardo più all'autore ma se l'opera mi trasmette emozioni o meno.
Se guardassi il mercato dell'arte o se io pensassi di diventare ricco coi miei dipinti, non riuscirei più a mettermi con un pennello in mano davanti ad una tela.
Meglio non pensare a certe cose.

Let me tell you something you may not know: I gave up painting for almost thirty years and only recently picked up my brushes again.
Was April 2022 when I start again. I painted a portrait of my wife.
I told myself: "If this works, I'll return to painting. If not, I'll walk away forever."
It wasn't perfect. But it was enough.
For years I'd worked as a graphic designer. I'd let art fade — the way you let something precious die: without a reason.
But art didn't abandon me. It waited.
That portrait reopened a door. And since then, I haven't stopped.
Sometimes you don't need a grand moment. You just need to decide to try one more time.

16 paintings. 4 quartets. One question that keeps evolving:
*What does silence look like?*
I started with clouds — the silence of things that drift and dissolve.
Then flowers — the silence of fragility, of bloom and fade.
Now waves — the silence that remains beneath restless motion.
And finally, silences — plural, abstract, unbound.
The first three quartets are 20×20cm. Contained. Held in a square frame.
But the last quartet breaks free: **20×25cm**.
Because when you strip away clouds, flowers, waves — when you're left with silence facing silence — the square can no longer hold it.
It needs to rise...
This is what I'm building.

I think you’ve captured a deep truth in the contrast between service to others and service to self. What strikes me is that both love and fear ultimately seek connection—love through openness, fear through control. One liberates, the other binds.
Evangelism born of love is indeed an offering: not an imposition, but a sharing that leaves the other free to receive or not. When it comes from fear, it becomes coercion—an attempt to quiet one’s own unrest by enrolling others into the same dissonance.
In that sense, every “holy war” outside is really a reflection of the inner one, as you say. Choosing love in each moment is the quiet revolution.

Between one painting and the next, I’ve been reflecting on a dynamic that often repeats itself: the strong urge we feel to convince others of what we believe is right, or even “saving.”
I’ve noticed it in very different contexts: some see Bitcoin as the ultimate form of money, others believe a carnivore diet is the only one truly aligned with our nature.
I won’t go into the truth of these claims (each has its strengths and limits), but what interests me is the root of this tendency: why is the need to convince so powerful?
Perhaps because:
-we have an innate desire to share what has worked for us, hoping it may also help others;
-agreement and resonance reassure us, strengthen our identity, and make us feel less alone;
-sometimes we perceive our idea as a kind of “path to salvation” from an invisible harm, and keeping it to ourselves feels almost unfair.
I believe it’s important to recognize that behind this drive there isn’t only arrogance or fanaticism, but also care, passion, and empathy. At the same time, it’s healthy to remember that each person has their own path and timing.
Maybe the real challenge is not to stop sharing our convictions, but to learn to do so with listening, compassion, and respect. In this way, ideas can remain bridges, rather than becoming walls.
