Why are you spending time together when the thing you are doing there is not what all people present want to do?
That said, the onus is on either side of this coin.
They need to stop putting themselves into the center, and just go elsewhere and do something or someone else.
But you also need to stop dragging them along to meetings where there's nothing to do there that they are reasonably interested in.

But that's what I mean. You get pulled into an ecosystem, by force or by peer pressure.
Here's what's been going on at my workplace over the past 4 years.
(NONE of this was a thing in early 2022 when I started)
- SharePoint / MS Teams / M365 parent company, so #Microslop #Slopilot out the Wazoo.
- GitHub, so Copilot, too.
- Jetbrains IDEs, local ML autocomplete, Junie agent, Copilot, SuperMaven, ...
- Half the team uses Fireflies.ai Note Taker.
- Half the team uses KRISP or NVidia Broadcast NNs to clean up their audio.
- Entire team uses Notion (since SharePoint is actually ass), which now also has AI at nearly every keypress.
- Entire team uses Miro, which also has AI now. (not a useful one, mind you, but they try...)
- Half the developers were let go over time. My headcount is absolutely in the shitter. We are frequently asked to try to make up for it with coding agents, frankly I am not happy about this, because that's certainly not how it works (might ship our first, small, agent-developed feature next week, big oof, as CTO I am keeping a close eye on that shit... game engine tech is more brittle and complex than your average React/Node.js slop, even without AI.)
- Art director? Seasoned, older artist, former Disney; totally adopted image diffusors for concepting and production (he's insanely good at overpaints, not sure if dead inside or secretly a terminator)
- Marketing team? The whole shebang, including AI video generators, image generators, text generators, Canva, Gamma.ai, you name it.
- First line support? Uses HelpShift... which now also has customer-facing AI.
- Our product itself? To get a financial grant in UAE, we had to put a GPT bot in that hallucinates hastily-prompted hopefully-truths about the Prophet (PBUH) and the history of pre-Osman Turkiye. Very few of the promotional images or character art are purely human-made. Lots of hand-crafted stuff in there, sure. We have one of the few non-vapourware, non-assetflip, non-vibecoded products in our space that's actually liked by its players.
So, yeah, I try to make it work, and some of the stuff is genuinely promising, while the majority is a deluge of slop.
But wait... that's just Sturgeon's law - 90% of EVERYTHING is crap!
(one might argue that with AI nowadays, 99% of everything is crap. But there's so much of it, the 1% can fill a lifetime's worth of... not sure what, but it's cool with me; let me at least enjoy the few good parts of the shit show we are in)

AI can help. But it also leads to a deluge of slopware.
I have used AI for years to proofread and improve unit tests, documentation, and generally rubber duck about my projects
I can feel the new coding agents are both awesome and horrible, so I am still trying to find a way to make them work well for me.
There is practically no way to get around them, so better learn to use them right.
I fortunately have 30 years of professional coding experience... that makes things easier, but also scarier. (the devil you know... is the devil you fear)

I love his instance. I'd feel right at home here, if I had any appreciable understanding of maths.
All I believe is that this reeks (in a positive way) of Quaternions, somehow, but then I thought subatomic particles are no longer considered to be in "orbits" in the Keplerian sense, but rather in probability clouds of some sorts - for which spherical harmonics might be more applicable visualizations.
Edit: Ok, ok, hydrogen has 1 electron so l=0...
