If everyone thinks this way, and if everyone starts using energy to mine bitcoin in addition to everything else (i.e. a lot more energy than an average household currently does), energy prices will go up and everyone will suffer + environmental damage. I think governments can discourage people but not restrict them because, as you said yourself, people pay for the energy they use, so they have the right to use it however they want. The practice of “Nudging” may come in handy on this case.

I think private banks but only working with bitcoin, rather than each bank creating their own currency (that will just lead to more shitcoins).

Just wanted to explain that the memes you describe come around because they are a symptom of a partly dysfunctional society - people often use humour as a defence mechanism in difficult situations. Memes don’t create “bad” ideas, they portray them.
Appearance of Nostr is also a symptom of mass censorship. It’s the product of the people that resist that censorship. If we go with your process of thinking, Nostr would be the reason for censorship. That’s not the case.

Internet memes are a symptom instead of the cause of all the things happening in the world, good or bad. People meme about stuff they experience and those who feel the same way like the memes. Generalising the whole meme culture is just like saying nostr is bad because anyone can post anything, even illegal stuff. While some people may use nostr to do that, most of don’t. Same with memes.

I am an avid supporter of Bitcoin adaptation and decentralisation. But can someone explain how are we going to avoid massive inflation and recessions and the economic cycles in general if there is no governing institution (i.e. Central Bank) directing the speed of economical growth?
