One of the interesting directions of all these AI agents is the shopping aspect.
If Amazon made an MCP server that allowed for just finding things and putting them in your shopping cart (like their buttons earlier), the battle would be over, they would have won. But they can't today because they're addicted to the ad revenue on their pages. It is no longer about the efficient sale.
Continues to show that once you take ad revenue it becomes impossible to innovate.

@nprofile…skc4 for me it was when I found out I was lactose intolerant, so so I had to make a lot of things (more options now, but years ago there was none).
Really has made me think of what I need to have in my pantry a lot differently.
The one exception is chocolate. I went and took an intro to chocolate making class. And I'm happy having people do that for me 😆

I used Signal to talk with people for an hour and managed to not invite any editors from The Atlantic.
Ask me anything.

@nprofile…naem I think that's the biggest failure in the US. We assumed Trump was done, then didn't fix any off the opportunities for executive overreach, and now he's back!

Finished my first game of Civilization VII. Most shocking part was at the end there was no "One More Turn" option, just "Exit to Main Menu."
Overall I like it. Love the sprawling cities and the lack of builders. The eras are okay, don't love the full reset between eras especially of trade routes. And it feels a lot like a 1.0 from a polish and UI perspective.
It is MUCH better on the Steam Deck than Civ VI is. If you're playing there, you definitely want to be playing VII.

@nprofile…npxa seriously, had the same fights. My big one is PillPack. They don't want to believe that their software could be broken.
Considering they were bought by Amazon. I wonder if it is Amazon's SMS service that is broken.

@nprofile…npxa I've had some issues with my voip.ms number and this recently. I think some service they all use has broken these numbers. Wish I knew who they all used in common.

I'm the one that took the KDE spec and made the Ubuntu implementations that kinda got things where they are generally.

@npub19fy…n5nv no... That is because it was done for political reasons and benefited his campaign. But he really ended up in the biggest trouble for the coverup.
