they must be skilled with the overhanging fallen tree! Can remove the rider from the bike.... Here they tend to leave fallen trees on walking paths in order to prevent bikers from taking it. There are specified mountainbike trails, where you're not supposed to walk.

Fall is definitely here! Wind 🌬️, slightly rainy🌦️ from time to time, the most beautiful colors, and I get to buy a new shirt 😁 (with long sleeves).
Today was a moderately distanced trail in the 'Engbertsdijkvenen', a moor close by where I live. Due to the weather I encountered more animals 🐂🐐🦅🪿 than other people, wich is very nice.
Oh, and following good example from @npub1xmw…4d4d I had a very tasteful donut afterwards 😋

It's easy until it's not (Lazarus Lake). That is so true for #trailrunning . The first 10k were promising, a steady 6:30-6:50 min/km and sunny weather. Than came the sandpits and despite we 'only' had 225m EG on the total course, it felt like the Mont Blanc 🥵. So the final 10k there was a serious decline in performance (7:30-9:00/km), but with some walking breaks I reached the finish just 5 minutes before closing 😅.

Today is a glorious day! Not only because of the weather (cold but dry with a little sunshine ⛅) but merely because I did a proper trail run again for the first time since my accident (November 9th). Not counting the also glorious 'Chariots of fire'-try out on the beach a few weeks back. It felt great to be out in the woods again. Also testing my new running vest (Osprey Duro6) and the navigation on my #garmin Very pleased with the accuracy.

Track training at the running club again. After the warming up and some exercises the main course was 600 m and 700 m intervals. All in all it added up to 10 k. Now for a hot shower and something to eat.

Running along the beach feels like 'Chariots of Fire'.
A short 5k suggested bij Garmin was enough for today. Coffee and 'stroopwafel' waited for me in our holiday cabin.

well, if I look at several other runners, for a long time in life 'the only way is up' 😁. Karel Sabbe is about to finish Te Araroa in a month. That's 100k a day for 31 days in a row.... Luckily for me in trailrunning age is less of factor, it comes more to perseverance and being able to deal with challenges, setbacks, aching body parts and that sort of life skills 😅

Back on track! Fysio approved 'jogging' on track (safe, predictable flat running ground) so I joined my training group again for the first time in 10 weeks. Did take it easy on the sprints and not all exercises were possible but all in all I am happy with being able to run again. Probably will be sore tomorrow but I will happily bare the pain 😆.
And (following the example of @npub1xmw…4d4d ) we had some 🍰 afterwards. Also because our daughter succesfully finished her internship 😁

I always bring my phone, and I switch on livetrack on Garmin. So my wife can follow my progress and position as long as there is phone connection.
Jumping 3-4 k is quite an achievement!

I surely also would have gone home with one (or more) bottles and some glasses. A good whisky is always tempting and enjoyable.
