Yeah Nostria is really seamless and slick! It’s like the ultimate hybrid between a nostr client for social media use and media consumption. Some other apps that play nostr native music are @npub1tp4…3c7a and zaptrax. They are more music players first, but also have the ability to see nostr notes by people you follow.

A while back we made a post to #asknostr who their favourite power trio was, and the overwhelming consensus was Rush! As fellow Canadians, we loved that! Beyond being Canadian, we actually have quite a bit in common with the GOAT of #Canadian rock bands: we are a power trio, our bass player is also our lead singer, we also have a member named Alex, we write a few longer songs that stray from the verse-chorus structure. However, a really cool commonality we want to share is that we grew up in the same little town that Neil Peart did, called St. Catharines. In this town is a port with a park called Lakeside Park. That might sound familiar to you because the third song from Rush's third album is called Lakeside Park. Within the first few lines of the song there is a reference to a "merry-go-round wheezing the same old melody". While it is closed for the winter right now, I wanted to share some photos of this timeless little piece of rock history with you that inspired this song and we are happy to be a small part of! #music #v4vmusic #canada

In my opinion, this is what we need to do. I was into music and bitcoin for a long time before I even heard or knew what was going on in the #v4vmusic space or #nostr as a whole. I think we need to create #v4v groups and spaces on the centralized platforms to gain attention and make more content creators and content consumers aware!

I think your voice would be very interesting in a rock setting. I could sense you were aiming for a more delicate and reserved performance for most of your songs, since that is the style. But I got a feeling that if you really wanted to, you could rev it up and be more energetic. I think you should explore and push the limits of your voice and see what you can pull off because I think you might surprise yourself! As you said you are new to this, so I can't wait to be along for the journey of your development and exploration of potentially expanding your niche and unlocking even more than what you initially set out to accomplish! And part of that might be taking on collaborations with other musicians who have other styles and seeing what you can add to the song! Do not be afraid to push your boundaries!

I have thought that it would be cool if artists could collab with other artists over nostr! I guess certain nostr clients support groups, and it would be cool to start a group for artists to collab. We could have nostr bands that have never met, but collab and record remotely!

I really thought your perspective on music and bitcoin/bitcoiners was interesting. Almost like you are able to be "in the club" but offer a perspective as if you are more of a regular person looking and observing. I loved how your EP and each song has a solid meaning and message behind them. Like you have a purpose, know it, and commit to getting it out there. I think a lot of artists do not go that deep when writing songs. Perhaps because for most song writers the music is what comes first and the lyrics usually are added after. And you explained how your writing process is a bit different. I am curious, did you end up hiring session musicians? Or did you program a lot of the instruments? The music itself of your EP reminds me a bit of the low key and toned down mood of the band Cigarettes After Sex. I think my favourite right now is either The Cure or Berliner Luft. I think our closest song stylewise to you is Are You The One. Its about that heartbroken feeling of feeling left out or lonely when you really just want to find who you are meant to be with. I heard about this maybe in the summer. Haven’t gone to McDonalds since. I don’t know if it’s true or not, but after hearing mothers say a tooth was in their kids nugget and human remains were found on a roof of a Michigan McDonald’s, I don’t take the chance anymore. Really cool. I have so much to learn as far as video editing. Just starting to edit and add transitioning to regular footage of some live stream we recorded a few years ago, but it would be cool to create a whole music video like you did one day from maybe editing footage of us with some stock footage and maybe some cool PiP stuff like that! Really cool concept and it fit the message of your video well with the media and television being the main method of hitting us in the face with the message "safe and effective".
