Jesus was sent to the world of men specifically to correct those who claimed to followed the words of Abraham, Isaac and Moses. He told the Pharisees abd Saducees as much: "you follow the words of man, I am the Son of God." Matthew 22:29-33. To believe in Jesus is to reject the beliefs of those who would be called "Jews" in future centuries. And vice versa.
Jesus mentioned on at least two occasions that there are but two commandments to reach Heaven: Belief that Jesus is indeed the Son of God and the Golden Rule. This indirectly rejects the words of Moses, though one may argue that the Ten Commandments pretty much encompass the two commandments endorsed by Jesus.
I find it interesting that the Old Testament was written at the time when those who would be later called "Jews" were living in exile in Babylon. Babylon features prominently as a den of sin in much of the Old Testament, ut oine must wonder how much influence the Babylonians may have had in the writing of that tome. Portraying God as a narcissistic tyrant who chooses only a certain sect of His people as "chosen" seems to conflict greatly with the teachings of Jesus. I wonder which one is "correct"?

no offense (cringe)...but the naivete may be in believing that any of this matters and/or that future crimes will be prevented or that "justice" (whatever that means) will be served. Just made my monthly purchase. Started at $103 (yes, I'ma latecomer), bought as low as $88, now buying at peak. For now.
With any luck, this era will look like a blip from 10x this high someday. But even if it doesn't, the fungibility is worth it. I've been sending wealth to friends in foreign countries with no ID check, no forms to fill out, and far less transaction fees than for USD at the bank. Just the convenience is worth it.
Now if only I could use it to buy things that I really need, like groceries...

Not sure about the pop - after all, real estate "popped" in 2008 but the housing shortage came roaring back. But totally agree that "housing shortage" is ridiculous. Many properties are owned but empty, like vacation homes and now AirBnB et al. We could house half the country just in Texas and California, but the prices are far from affordable for anyone near the median income in the USA.

AFAIK, the money stays on earth when people pass? Whether it's to family or to inherited shareholders of companies where the money was spent, the money will go to the millennials as a whole.
There will be winners and losers, as there always are. Wealth will likely concentrate into fewer and fewer hands, as it always does. As far as burning goes, governments will ensure that there will be plenty of paper to go around. The question will be how much of that paper will it take to buy a box of cereal?

Had this short conversation over the weekend:
Friend: "wait a sec. You don't take your phone with you when you go out?"

Some will not understand my position, but be apprised that I am old and my friend is even older. I suppose that if one grew up with a phone in hand at all times, the idea that not every event needs an immediate response may sound like heresy, but I certainly expected more from my elder friend.
As much as I believe that technology addiction is detrimental to society, as I write this during my usual 8-10 per day in front of a monitor, the addiction by OLD people to technology that they barely know how to use - my friend needed weeks of tutoring when he finally bought his first android phone - is truly saddening.

I do find it intriguing that some believe that ancient humans actually understood (or maybe "aliens" told them) the nature of things better than we do now, and that those people posit that a lot of the structures created by the ancients indicate that this is the case. But regardless, we do know that whatever we popularly believe at this point in time is woefully inadequate to describe our environs. Maybe. Maybe not. One thing about aging is that "things" matter less and less (unless you're a mindslave to the media). I'm old. I've been back to the places where I frequented as a younger man and they are all changed to the point where it was nice to see them, but no longer enjoyable. Although there's some disappointment, there is a time to pass things down to the next generations. I don't fear death - I've had experiences that no one else will ever have, but cannot be reproduced. Sure, there are things that I still wish to do, but I'm comfortable with what I have done.
In sports, guys like Russell Wilson and Aaron Rodgers refuse to give up roster space to those who need the experience, and I think that's despicable. I'd rather see what the new guys can do and be there to answer questions if there are any. I think that those in power crave immortalilty, and even if they succeed in shaking their fists in God's face, they may find that immortality is a curse rather than a blessing.

I'm approaching an "event horizon" of my own.
I will admit that I still look at the dollar value of 1000 sats more than once per day, but I'm no longer thinking "ooh that's $1.18 USD". Now I look at the number simply in relation to the number that I saw the last time I looked.
I know: "number go up".
I have been steadily raising my "zap for fun" from 1 to 21 to 42 (milestone: when incoming zaps reached 21x21 441 sats, just to make sure I'm not just being a chump) and then to 84 when incomong sats doubled to 882..
The "event horizon" is that now I look at prices offered in BTC and think "is that worth X amount of standard zaps"? I like zapping folks for nostr posts that either amuse me or make me think and now I think "is this item for sale worth X amount of those posts?"
My wish is that items that I actually value: food, clothing, shelter, would price in BTC and then I would truly leave the USD world forever.

In conversation with a locally prominent administrator at various local HBCU's, I was told that the schools had updated their curriculum to produce tech workers, but the environment and coding processes change so fast that by the time a class graduates, they are passed over by tech giants in favour of international workers. Once the control grid is hardened, there won't be any money at all.
People in power have no need of money. Kings don't pay for anything - they simply demand what they want and they get it, or else.
Money has been used as a laser pointer to play with the proles, sending them chasing around the world to collect it, fighting with each other stealing from one another. It's been the best distraction ever to keep the 8 million proles from finding and lynching the 8000 or so that actually have power.
Once control is fortified, money will disappear. There will be no way to store wealth, as the proles won't be allowed to own anything. When a prole wants something, it will make a request, probably through an app on a brain chip or something, and if the powerful decide to grant that wish, the prole will receive that product.
It's been said that the powerful want to be gods, like the pharaohs of old. In this manner, they will become gods - receivers of "prayers" and ultimate decision makers of who gets what.
So, there will be a collapse/evaporation of money at some point, but not until control is firmly established. 8 million enemies are difficult to placate. LIke nitroglycerin, they have to be handled properly but can be useful - my guess is that "lab rats" for the research of immortality will be high on the list of uses.
So, how 'bout those Astros? :)

Join the club, dude. I put in $450k. At $2k per month, the principal will be returned in 225 months, or 18 years and 9 months. Then the interest on money held for over 50 years should kick in, at age 80+. Social Security isn't a "ponzi scheme". The government should be way AHEAD, given actuarial tables, on any worker that sacrificed a portion of their pay for a minimum of 20 years, which is of course the large majority. What is bankrupting Social Security is that it has been turned into a welfare program for various disenfranchised folk.
I'm not against helping people out, but the USA already HAS a benefit program for the poor, colloquially called "welfare". Why all aid to the disenfranchised isn't put under ONE umbrella, which would obviate the need for dual workforces to review each case (retirees take almost no review service as the records are plain to see from all sides, beneficiary, employers and government) is the result of bureaucracy.
In any case, you're correct. The Social Security retiree program is a giant money producer for the government. It is outright thievery for those forced to comply.

I honesty feel sorry for them and for their families. Somehow (maybe fortunately) most of my friends, all of whom are staunch followers of government dictates, have persevered. A lot of them get sporadic ailments that I cannot specifically attribute to their unwarranted obedience, but who knows.
I think that maybe the warm conditions here in the south coupled with general incompetence and negligence may have worked in our favour in that maybe the vaccines were allowed to warm beyond their "efficacy" before being administered.

This battle between "historic foes" is/was completely staged, although I don’t believe that Trump played any role other than actor/stooge, as do all the government “leaders'“.
Those in power agreed decades ago that physical destruction of the infrastructure is counter-productive. If the idea is to minimise the prole population, leaving the infrastructure in a condition that would necessitate proles for reconstruction (at least until robots can do the work without supervision) means keeping enough chattel around to do the job.
Neutron bombs were the next step - kill the proles but leave the buildings standing. However, “there’s always someone witha big nose who knows'“, to quote Morrissey, and those people correctly warned that although the radiation would leave structures intact, the land would remain uninhabitable for a couple of generations.
But now the solution has arrived: bio-genetic warfare. It’s perfect - targets can be acquired and eliminated individually, or by ethnic group, or by any other genetic marker, leaving the instrastructure intact and the environment in a habitable state.
And, here we are. There won’t be any large scale kinetic war ever again, unless the proles somehow get the controls. Sure, there will still be violence to kill the proles - killing proles silently with bio-warfare is effective, but a lot of those in power still love their bloodsport. All governments are simply enforcement franchises of the same power, and they are united in their sole mission - to keep “those in power” in power forever. The USA calls it “continuity of government”. Sure, they will continue to use their ballistic missiles to depopulate the proles, but there will be no “regime change” because there is only one regime.

Instead, I would bomb:

There's no way that a government run "seed phrase recognition" program could be added to cameras to send anything looking like a seed phrase to a bot that would immediately run the seed on multiple platforms to breach the wallet. Nope. That technology doesn't exist.

I assume that you are referring to the second paragraph? Essentially it's the same as the "coinjoin" concept for covering BTC tracks. This would be to avoid rationing on an individual basis. Hear hear. Another great argument for the idea of salting data rather than trying to defend it from scrutiny. Every once in a while, shop for women's clothes. Order a movie ticket in Burundi. Do a deep dive into outboard motors. If you are foolish enough to give personal information online, falsify it and use different information every time. I get happy birthday messages almost daily.
I am currently promulgating this idea in anticipation of the CGDCs (or reasonable facsimile) and the idea of limiting or rationing purchases - publish a list of your own needs and have a number of neighbors do the same. The more the merrrier. Then buy whatever is on other people's lists and deliver them to a central location. Go pick up whatever you actually wanted while you're there. Let the des think that you're addicted to okra and maybelline eye liner.

I've often remarked that wars should always be condiucted in this way. Each side has a short period of time to drum up "patriotic support" and get "those who would die for the cause" to sign up. Then, each side gathers up all of the willing, and delivers them to the opposing side, where they are summarily executed upon arrival. When one side can no longer summon any more "patriots", that side is said to have lost and an agreement must be set accordingly.
it's win-win-win. The war has a clear winner. Those who would "die for their cause" are given the opportunity to do so, and the rest of us are left the fuck alone.

Exactly. I asm Christian in that I believe in the words of Jesus Christ, but I do not believe in the words of any man, not even those who wrote the Old Testament nor the "letters" of the New Testament. I guess one could say that I am a "Christian purist" in that I believ in only the words of Jesus Christ.
As far as Catholicism goes, I feel that churches with hierarchies and idolatry, which of course are not specific to Catholicism but are most prominent in that denomination, go against the most basic teachings of Jesus (and Moses as well, but Moses was simply a man).
I don't feel that any follower (or non-follower) of any religion is my enemy. It is possible that God revealed Himself to other people in other ways - after all, I believe that God created all of us, not jsut a klatch of folk in the area near the Red Sea - and thus they may have a different version of the Creator whom they follow. But the "logos" as the popular kids say, must coincide. All men are created equal. Murder is wrong. The "Golden Rule". The "enemies" of my faith deny these truths. How they came to believe in the same truths as I believe in is of little consequence to me.

Israel is well aware that any Iranian nuclear facilities are far underground and well shielded. Conventional artillery will have no effect on that infrastructure. Israel is simply "poking the bear", trying to force the USA to intervene.

Once we get to digital currencies and the ruling class will know, and of course be able to, prevent purchases on an individual basis, both for persons and in respect to items purchased, would a "coinjoin" strategy work to thwart the authority?
Say, circulate a list of desired items and people just buy them randomly and then leave those items at a central location for the person who requested it whilst picking up the item that he or she requested? As the "coinjoin" expands, it would become almost impossible to determine exactly who is buying what and thus thwart "the algorithm" from being able to ration goods?

Indeed. On many occasions I have looked over an agent's shoulder at the airport and was horrified to find that whatever software they are using - most likely just for reservations and such, but who knows? - is running on Windows XP.
I became a Linux user after the disastrous release of "Windows Millennium" and never looked back. but I'm fairly certain that Windows XP went out of support maybe a decade or more ago?

In New Hampshire, the state used to (I think that they are no longer) OWN the only "Liquor Stores". Comically, they set up a number of these stores on the Massachusetts state line, which at the time observed "blue laws", making ANY alcohol sales, including beer and wine, illegalion Sundays.
New Hampshire, of course, had no compunction regarding Sundays and the line of cars driving up the interstate from MA to NH on Sunday mornings, or even better, drunk driving on Saturday night, to buy alcohol or beer for football Sundays was quite hilarious.

Don't be so hasty. I agree that we should tell Israel to destroy their nuclear power plants and oil/gas production. With Israel's nuclear threat ended and ending that pathetic, violent "county's" ambitions to join the oil game (Gaza is sitting on or at least next to a lot of oil), Iran would likely relent somewhat - heck, a lot of Arab countries would likely sign a treaty knowing that israel has ended all of it's ambitions in the region.

I heartily support the "end road work" movement. In my area, years ago I founded the "no public bathrooms" movement, which although supported by many businesses, has met with confusion or even scorn from the proles, who clearly don't understand the importance of the cause.
PS adding the "fist of power" to signage also aids in communicating to certain sectors of the proletariat.
