Fuel poverty is when you spend more than 10% of your income on the basics such as heat/light/water.
The state pension is about £920 every 4 weeks.
The avg energy bill under the new cap will be £143 per month, but the elderly need more heat to keep as warm as the avg person. So we can add 10-20% to that, meaning it's £158-171. That's 17.5 to 19.5% of their income.
That doesn't even include water bills.
Stop punishing the poor

Whenever I get asked what my pain is like... I respond with my normal every day pain level is a 5... so I cannot have a pain level less than that.
Any pain that is less than a 6... I don't really feel because the other pain drowns it out.
Most docs can't comprehend that.

Oh, I have a condition called spinal stenosis. It's compression in the discs that traps nerve endings.
It went undiagnosed for about 10yrs until 2014... and because the condition can be made worse if you are overweight... I had 10yrs of doctors ignoring the symptoms and telling me to lose weight... even after I lost weight... to lose weight.
I finally had a doctor who listened and understood rather than tried to shuffle me out the door as quickly as possible without doing either.

Gonna look into acupuncture as there's one about 7 miles away that my sister swears by... helped with her hayfever issues she said.
I can't focus on anything and I've called in sick to work the last 2 days.
On top of that, the plasterer was supposed to start today... and won't be starting until Thursday now.
and now my mum wants to go out to get paint for her bedroom because B&Q have 20% off today... she also wants to do a run to the recycling centre because they're closed weds/thurs 🤦

It has been about 40hrs since I threw my back out. It's not getting any better.
Tramadol are numbing the pain, a combination of ibuprofen gel & heatrub on the afflicted area in between the meds to try and help.
I can't rotate my body to the right at all, my normal sleeping position causes intense pain, so I'm sleeping on my back which means really bad sleep. I can't bend over and with my hayfever playing up a little today, so every time I sniff/inhale through my nose I get pain in my back.

Why do I love #TerryPrachett
Here's why
Ever since I first picked up one of his books in the very early 90's as a young man. I thought I was going to be reading a funny fantasy novel.
Every time I was wrong.
What I read was a lesson in morality and ethics, a novel about giving a voice to the voiceless. Novels that tackled racism, gender politics, fascism and everything else that's used as a weapon to treat people poorly for being different to what they think is 'normal'.
He taught me well.
