[Cross-Post] Can we still not purchase additional outfit slots in #LOTRO, or am I totally missing how to do it?
I've been mostly out of gaming for 2-3 months so I may have missed it.
Clicking a button from the outfit panel doesn't work and I can't see it in the relevant sections of the LOTRO store either.

I have options for other characters. The furthest along is Ayrthir (the male elf below), but I haven't regularly played Lore-master since #LOTRO made major changes to the class.
But most alts were made to try new things: classes, cosmetics, races. So after my L151 guardian, the next highest is a L86 Hunter, but I play it badly and hurt my hands.
Then it's the L76 Lore-master. And it looks like, story-wise, he's in Mirkwood.
I'm closing it for today, too many choices/inputs.

Today's been weird. I had to lose some sleep (about 3hrs, so I'm heading to bed soon), as we had to have a plumber deal with outside piping from the kitchen.
All day, I've been in high pain and shattered, but not enough to sleep. Then wifey came back with NJ and needed a nap.
So NJ built #legofriends while watching Pokémon on the floor and I watched it too because her brain was firing off every 0.3 seconds (good mood, though).
I'm alive but somewhat feeling swamped.
Need escapism, I think.

@npub1yse…luye hey, I think the default search setting is wrong in Midori Android. Or, at least, searching from the address bar is bugged.
It defaults to astiango dot co, causing errors, redirects, and occasionally ads.
If I create my own "search engine" option using astiango.com/q=%s then it works. So it's just the default AstianGo entry is set. Just one missing 'm' in 'com' would fix it, I think.

Well, this was a challenge. I read about various events from the 8th April.
I chose to sketch only this part of the "Venus de Milo" statue, which was found 8th April 1820 on the island of Milos.
Trying to draw this material quickly was difficult.
And as with most of my #DailyDoodle posts, the number 8 and 4 are in the drawing too.

Right, my (real-life) glasses are hurting my nose, which means head pain's on the way. Time to sign off and take stuff from the office to the house in case I can't get out tomorrow.
But at least I've caught up on in-game events in two games. When I return to questing in FFXIV, it'll probably be on my second main to get used to combat again, I need to rework the muscle memory.

And XIVLauncher is working again. For some reason it wouldn't work when the game needed patching... when one of its advantages is quicker patching.
I did the update in the main launcher then switched back.
Going to try and get an hour or so in-game at last.

Random #PokemonGo question. I live in the middle of nowhere, that happens to have one gym and two Pokestops.

Often in #FFXIV events, they have NPCs you've encountered attending. Usually, they don't _actually_ acknowledge you. (Like Gaius here). But some of the ones from Dawntrail actually do and that was lovely.
I try to remember to see if dialogue with visiting NPCs is possible. I'm glad they add touches like this.
Serendipity doesn't bat an eyelid, but I think last time Ali saw her, she called her a Brainless Scholar or something 😁

Artfol has various niggles, so I'm not surprised. I've **tweeted** them 😏 but they're not great at answering messages these days.

It's a good job I'm rarely seen out. Another item of clothing patched and sewn up... VERY roughly. I don't even own grey or black thread.
But Dad gave me a bit of money at Christmas, so I should be able to replace a pair or two of jeans and, if I'm fortunate, a t-shirt.
New clothes are a luxury, and I never feel like I deserve them.

Last night I did manage a little #GenshinImpact on my phone while pain and fatigue bound me to the sofa.
I'm not deep in, story-wise, but I did some exploring and the daily Adventurers guild quests.
I'm still struggling with really high pain, but will go to the office today, even if it's to mend some things.
I do need to assess how my head reacts to LOTRO and especially FFXIV (as it's more graphically intense). But I'll do that this evening.

What's been really difficult has been escaping strings in the right way for the right kind of data.
And I've just found another bug. Well, it is and it isn't. The settings are saved and working, it's just something about displaying them that's confusing.
In one sense, I learned to code in the wrong era. Coding with the idea that people are out to break your site is pretty crappy, but unfortunately with hack/spammers is all too real.

Hey all,
I slept horrendously last night, and the weather has been humid and icky. So, I've not even switched my PC on all day.
I've added final varnish into some #pyrography products, and penultimate layers onto others.
Yesterday, I was dumb and did that indoors, sooo I did it outdoors as its recommended for not, you know, breathing in stuff you shouldn't.

It's clearly break time. I'm having issues with @npub1jxd…txs3 and JPG export.
The picture on the left is how it looks in #GIMP - the one on the right is how I'm seeing it in Firefox.
Before someone yells "colour profile", it's sRGB and I've tried it with including the profile and without. I'm only compressing 95% at the moment.
Also "image previewer" on Linux shows it washed out, but "Pix" doesn't. So it's *probably* not GIMP, but it's hard to tell.

Oh, and yes... from today's diagnosis I am officially and #ActuallyAutistic.
The formalities, data and stuff will be sent to my doctors.
It also seems there's strong correlation between #Autism and #Fibromyalgia, which I wouldn't have thought. Well, I didn't think it, so I've done cursory research.
I need to research more in-depth because that might help me organise life better for both.
At least the month-long assessment is over.

Ah yeah, Recent Files is in the Open Dialog (my bad) but Recently Used (folders/locations) isn't in the save dialg.
That "recently used" makes saving images so much easier for me, when I make a new one that just needs to go into a folder I...well...recently used.
There was something in the github conversations about it being a systemic thing (maybe GTK3? I don't know, not my area of expertise).

Thank you, that worked a treat! I like a lot about #GIMP3, but the removal of "Recently Used" in the save/open dialog and that neither G'Mic nor Resynthesizer appear to work in Gimp3 yet, means I need to keep 2.10 for now.
I have G3 as an AppImage so I can switch to it if I need to.

Hey, any #GIMP users able to help answer a simple question because my brain is malfunctioning?
I'm running #GIMP3, but the G'Mic plugin isn't ready for Linux Mint yet. Unfortunately I already uninstalled GIMP 2.10.
How do I install older versions (or get the 2.10 AppImage)?
I can't see it on GitHub, nor on gitlab.gnome.org.
(I found an old @npub1jxd…txs3 AppImage but G'Mic won't run on it so my AppImage must be too old.)

[Cross-Platform] Once a photo backup has been completed I will be deleting my #Facebook account, including my FJ Facebook Page.
Personal comfort reasons, surveillance advertising...AI creepiness. There's more, but I don't need to go into it.

Now I need to research colour theory and how GIMP3 interprets light differently. I've tried using levels, but I was so used to how Brightness/Contrast works it was enough.
I've "thumbed-up" that thread. As it's a known issue, is there any point in filing it now?

Aye, I will use your workaround for now. I'll leave the bug report as the one I did yesterday turned out not to be one because it was mentioned 1-2 years ago and I hadn't searched that far back before filing. I don't want to waste anyone's time.
Hopefully someone else will spot it and I can support it then.

1. I used the same image file in both tests, I just used different layers to display the outputs.But yes, it's RGB-8 set in 2.10 and 3.0.
2. Colour managing off made no difference.
I meant to dig into this while it was GIMP 2.99 but I just never got around to it. And I assumed I'd done something wrong, so "User Error" is not a "Bug" (with the software anyway, just...the user).

Oh I see what's going on.
To get the same level of darkness from "1 Contrast" in Gimp3, I had to set a contrast of 7-8 in Gimp 2.
So, is there something missing in how I've set up #GIMP3 that means it's making larger jumps in G3?

I wish I could claim ownership of the image, but it's a screenshot I'm adjusting for a gaming blog.
Different colour profiles, hmm. With colour management turned off I get these images.
I'm going to see if I can reproduce the only-one-contrast on an older version of the GIMP AppImage.
It just feels like G3's contrast has bigger "steps" than G2.

I'm not normally on Masto at this time, but just had a question.
In #GIMP3 the Lightness/Contrast tool appears to go *much* darker with one adjustment to contrast, compared to #GIMP 2.
I felt in G2, that the slider made smaller, incremental changes (and is easier for me to replicate than using curves because I don't always have steady hands).
Has anyone else noticed contrast being darker?
Is the only answer to use Curves/Levels?

I've managed to do a bit of fiction proofreading. This bug I've had for weeks has knocked any sense of balance and routine out of me, so I've felt out of it.
But I also just played with #HeroForge's tool as I saw they'd introduced mounts.
In my world there are a small-ish number of "battle cats" available for one kingdom. HF don't have tigers yet, but I used the Lionesse model. It's not large/muscly enough but it's a good basis for drawing, at least.

I don't like my leaf veins on the centre leaf, but I think I'm just going to say the faerie bed is done.
It's a combination of woodburning, sewing, and painting (fabric paints used on parts of each leaf).
Hopefully, NJ will be fine with it. She asked me to make this, but she's not in a faerie phase, so I should be safe.

I've had to have a lot of non-screen time again today with this bug causing me loads of muscle and head pain.
So I've mended more clothes, and picked back up the faerie bed my 7yo requested. Threads everywhere, still messy. Project very much WIP.

You know what other time-sucker that never gets bad rep? TV. Do we talk about addiction to TV drama series, or game shows, or thinking you *must* watch that team play. You know why we don't?
Because society has accepted TV addiction as NORMAL.
People who do not game do not understand it. It can be part of life and be healthy.
Many people watch loads of movies. I prefer to play a character in a movie - AKA #Gaming.
