I'm not sure if anyone is going to know what this tree is, but in California we have these trees with have pods that when stepped on or driven over release a vomit-like smell. Is there anyone who thinks that that smells great? Like some of those fruits that people either love or hate? #Gardening

Hiya #Gardening Mastodon in the US! Who do you use for seeds? I switched over to Territorial from Baker Creek, but my first order had a problem and customer service in unresponsive/nonexistent. :(

Intended to plant cabbage, instead battled with a container destined to be a compost bin that needed to be convinced by the pickaxe to open. I think we both lost. #Gardening is a funny thing.

Any #Gardening folks in fire-prone areas have thoughts or expertise on pathways through food/flower gardens being lined with wood chips for weed control? I construct half moons. Garden area at hand is minimum 3 car lengths of 3/4 black chip away from the house and the neighbor's house, but the neighbor doesn't seem to care about hardening. 🤦‍♀️

Harvested the rest of the garlic and woo-wee does the house smell strongly of garlic! Orange inspector cat is also having fun with the dry stalks. My first adventure in garlic #Gardening ☺️🐈 now to figure out where to cure it. What does one do when there's no cool, dark area?
