was initially having issues w proton but then i learned that this game crashes on windows just as often (at least for me). performance is pretty much equal between windows and linux (btween 90-130 fps on my setup), except with the vulkan shaders, shit on conveyor belts looks kinda weird and blurry sometimes, but idk about that tbh

it stops being euphoric like that when taking it regularly long term, but it still is a useful tool. The first couple times taking stimulants they get you hella high imo. I don't think neurotypicals feel like that all the time cuz they can also take stimulants and prolly feel mostly the same effects. Long term tho I just feel normal after taking the meds but with more cognitive function.

that’s what I did! I booked a super cheap airbnb offsite cuz i didn’t wanna pay for an entire hotel room for just myself (didn’t have a group to stay with). I basically just slept there, was at the con the majority of the time. they have a bag check which was great. I knew a few friends and acquaintances going, but no solid group. I had an absolute blast though! It was super easy to meet others thru the folks i did know. But I also found it incredibly easy to strike up a conversation with just about anyone. I remember just chilling by the pool with my coffee one morning and before I knew it, an hour or two had past and I was deep in conversation with some critters who came over to sit in the shade next to me. There are also so many activities to do and panels to go to and I met quite a few really nice animals that way too! I can’t recommend it enough even if you’re just going on your own like I was.

Got reprimanded at work today by a supervisor. Probably rightly so - as I wasn't as productive as I could've been on a task he gave me.
But I broke my rule about not revealing my disability at work and told him that I have ADHD, and that I have been having trouble adjusting back to work after vacation. He seemed to change his tune after that and said that he would keep that in mind in the future, thankfully.
I try to keep a good attitude and be receptive to feedback like this, and work on my own coping skills to try and perform as best I can, but this isn't the first conversation I've had with my superiors related to this and I felt like I had to disclose that information in order to be understood. Until I told him that it felt as though he was interpreting this issue as a personal failure or some sort of laziness.
I know that I'm competent in my job and do consistently good work but sometimes I really need to be accommodated better. And it's terrifying to admit that because while it's illegal to fire someone for having a disability, being an at-will employee they can just come up with some other excuse.
Anyway, fuck this brought me back to reality real quick after spending the better part of the last week in puppy mode. 😢
