First stop, in a fabulous and already-hot morning, was an alleged waterfall. When we got there, someone just leaving said there was no water in the river at all. So we decided against the walk, mainly owing to the baking heat.
But there was a lot of vegetation. I think this one plant is or was called Bushman's Candle, as it is waxy enough to light.
We were delaying going further as we knew that from now on, the heat would intensify
