As far as the science goes. They typically care about a few things. NOX, CO, CO2 and carbon particulates. Carbon can be fucking nasty, like DuPont and teflon? lol.

There are about 20 compounds iirc that are measured by the manufacturer when the engines are produced and are reported to the EPA every cycle. These change Im sure newer engines require much different/more compounds but that's what I remember.

We heard through the grapevine that using the factory emissions as a template and trying to stay as _close as you can_ to factory, you have more ground to stand on _when_ you get investigated. Not a matter of if btw. Our lawyers were very clear on that.
