I've jaded my kids. We hate crowds. We go early and during the week to ANYTHING. I have no problem pulling them from school for a few days for an adventure.
They've never been remotely interested in Disney world or cared much roller coasters, though they have ridden 2.
We do cave tours and museums and hot springs instead of theme parks. Lol
