There is so much unexamined bigotry & an extremely high tolerance for bullying, abuse, & oppression, lying just under the surface of the Harry Potter book series.

I've seen so many breakdowns & analyses, & what's so weird is that such a shallow series of books (increasingly badly edited) yields so much to discuss.

It's almost impressive how fundamentally fucking conservative in outlook her work is, that it lurks on every page. It's the work of a woman who doesn't understand herself.
