While true, allowing yourself to neglect projects that you’ve built in the past and are still not complete (because FOSS projects never are…) AFTER they’ve had time to become a part of users’ social infrastructure is a massive exercise in shirked responsibility. And lending a hand becomes less tenable when the maintainer who will ACCEPT those lended hands is spreading himself thin across multiple projects; one man can only approve so many PRs.
