Follow up: I've got an iPad for work with the keyboard folio, but I'm not an iOS user and it just sits.
I've got an Android tablet that I got for working on fires that I had planned to use for ATAK and CalTopo while I'm in the field, but I just end up using my phone most of the time.
I've noticed this year that many of my students take handwritten notes on their tablets now, which is interesting to me
