I’m sorry, I don’t mean to be “that guy” but I have to say it because it pops up so often and it drives me fucking crazy:
Forced peer association is not socialisation. This is true for children and adults. The social benefits only come from meaningful interactions and positive stimulus. Humans are indeed “social creatures” but only in specific circumstances and groups.
(This is not an attack on you or what you said, just a personal bugbear of mine 😂)
