I think that our political class actually shares the MMT mindset. We never see them agonising over increasing nuclear weapons spending, or even corrupt Covid payments, They and the press don’t then lead with “where’s the money coming from?”

They only use this argument when keeping us in our place, and we do their work by repeating it.
