I'm aware that this logic takes on a whole new level of weight in the AI age. Up until now, tech tools might have made creating easier, but creation still required a fair amount of human investment. AI reduces that investment to near-zero. As Rick said, AI just clones existing work—it can't contribute anything new.
So AI being the lowest barrier possible, are we going to get any artistic breakthroughs from AI stuff? It's tempting to say absolutely not.
But honestly—I really don't know.
