Painting this as "making fun of math and Chinese" is a new low for the obsessive Sabine haters. How about you actually link to the video whose context you've taken this out of?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P4iiNpkClRU (~1:00 time mark)

Painting this as "mocking Chinese" is beyond silly, so I'm not even going to entertain that, and focus on the other claim instead. No, she isn't mocking maths, or even the concept of positive geometries in particular.

She admits that she had to ask ChatGPT for what it is, and makes a joke about how impenetrable GPT's definition was to her, because she isn't familiar with this terminology. This could be interpreted as a display of humility, or at worst, annoyance at opaque terminology.

It isn't "making fun of math" beyond what mathematicians themselves often do. Also see: The endearing "abstract nonsense" label for Category Theory. She goes on to say, right in the next sentence:

> But when I looked into this a little closer, I realized it's not that complicated. We've actually talked about it before, [link to previous video] ...

And then she mentions Nima Arkani-Hamed's work. The same you just mentioned. And by the way, no, your explanation was not any simpler than the one by GPT that she made a joke over.

I wonder, did you even watch the video?
