There's a simple sugar derived from corn starch in it! Maybe with some very minor corn impurities. Starch is after all a polymer of glucose, without a good reason you go with the cheapest source.

Since it's in even lower quantity than the explicitly labeled, somewhat exotic anti-caking agent, it's almost certainly there for the same reason. Companies don't put random stuff in their products, there's always a reason for the added expense.
