At best, streaming reminds me of why editing is so crucial for video-making. To me, it has such immense "Random gameplay recording with 6 views that entirely consists of 'umm' and 'uhh' and heavy breathing" energy, but somehow streamers are almost as popular as Youtubers, and often make money at the expense of Youtubers, too (usually through zero-effort reaction streams). It's been really sad that this is what modern platforms have been rewarding. ​​
