I’ve also heard the argument raised countless times before the war - “we’re at economic crisis” past 2000, “we’re at hybrid war” past 2014 etc. There was never a good time, and never will be, because now it will be “we’re rebuilding after war now”.
I don’t buy that argument, because plenty of Ukrainian politicians are not fighting but doing politics (Vyatrovych now does daily rounds on Ukrainian TV stations), or just making money, sometimes using rather dirty schemes (“Dnipro call centers”) and nobody says “don’t do this, it’s war”.
By the way, Myrotvorets doesn’t give a shit about the war either:
