I'd actually take that as one of the better arguments to do it.
I'm just thinking back on my defcon trips (mainly 8-15ish) and wondering how that feeling flows in a semi-theocratic oligarchy.
Bahrain is one of the more liberal spots in the region.
But that's like saying the Cracker Barrel in Harrison Arkansas is more liberal than the area around it.
