GM friends….I recently installed Alby Hub on my Lightning Node and wanted to share the following in case anyone thinking about doing the same.
Alby Hub on your Node will receive liquidity from your channels, but you will still need to fund the wallet. It will not use your Lightning Node liquidity as a spendable funds. While most people probably already knew this, I was originally under the idea that if I had 12m sats of liquidity on my node, the Hub wallet would automatically have access to those sats.
This was the primary reason I setup a secondary node to run Alby Hub. I still like my setup and will continue to run the secondary node that I’ve dubbed “The Bee Hive” but I don’t think it’s necessary. So don’t be afraid to load Hub on your primary Node. The sats that The Hub have access to are only sats you fund the wallet with.
