My Bears fandom is a real issue.
Grew up in Omaha originally. Two teams rule there: the Chiefs (proximity) and the 49'ers (Huskers legends ended up playing there during the dynasty). I follow those teams.
But I also spent time growing up near Ann Arbor. My first-ever NFL game was at the Pontiac Silverdome, where I watched a young upstart by the name of Barry Sanders totally torch my most hated team at the time: John Elway and the Denver Broncos.
I am thus also a Lions fan.
The Bears came later, after my family settled in Illinois in '92, and unfortunately never left.
