In 1993 when my oldest daughter was just 18 months old I had her in her car seat and put her down in the kitchen and ran quick upstairs for something I forgot. When I got back she was gone. I started looking and calling her name. After 30 s I was wondering how I’d tell my partner I’d lost the baby. I kept looking and calling and finally I heard a tiny snort under a table.
