Here now is the second of the regular monthly UK car registration analyses, produced in this case by New Automotive. These are new vehicle registrations for July based on analysis of DVLA data. What leaps out here is that, for the first time, hybrids (of all kinds) have overtaken petrol cars as the largest category. EVs here are calculated to be 19% and you’ll need to squint to find Tesla (second place, behind BMW EVs) and just a small fraction of the whole.
