There are some modern #scifi #books with weird of, I dunno, tech(?).
Ex. A ship traveled through a wormhole. The other ship can track it fine. Only later it was revealed that a ship loses a year. How can the other ship track it?
Another example.
They traveled to a new world via a portal (or stargate if you will). The character opened their GPS device. How does it work? They need a network of satellites (in space or ground) for a GPS to work. 🧐
