I started working with 7 in my job back in the nineties. I bought 8 for my freelance work. I have the original bought and paid for CS1 somewhere but used CS2 for many years for work. I've also used CS5 and CC.
Though I'm aware my versions are ancient, its not new tools that make good design, the old software that's been bought and paid for still works well.
The Adobe Cloud move was my first influence, then Microsoft encouraging Linux use due to Win11 and exploring more FOSS options.
