It’s not an irrational fear, it’s just weighing the pros and cons.

Pros:
Get there faster

Cons:
Treated like a prisoner in the airport
Shitty lines, terrible people everywhere
The flights themselves have gotten way worse (shitty planes, tiny seats)
You get new fun diversity all around you
Who knows if the pilot is a DEI hire or not
Who knows if the plane is safe

It’s just a shitty, shitty experience, regardless of anything else. and I’m sure they made it this way on purpose. but planes are basically just flying buses, and now you get bus-type passengers too.
