yeah man whenever I’m running dual pilot and the other guy asks “are we clear” I assume he means is final clear, is the runway clear, and have we been cleared for takeoff. He couldn’t see final or the plane on the runway and as such that’s ATC’s responsibility, and he believed they had been cleared.

military pilots can only log wheels up to wheels down. On top of that, ATP-CTP is done by the airline not the military, and in their hiring process they are very thorough in regards to scenario-based testing and will reject a LOT of “experienced” candidates

I love driving and would rather drive a lot of places than fly commercially, but I’d rather fly myself than drive. Some places you can’t get with a car alone (or it’d take way too long), and a plane is required
