It took several tries, but our chicken coop and ducks seem to be safe now. We keep them mostly because they bring joy to my wife, but she can't really get outside to enjoy them.
People ask why I am so mean to raccoons. They have never gone out in the morning to find every chicken with its throat ripped out. That was back in my early years of building a coop.
