EU dude says, in essence, that manufacturers have the same responsibility towards open source code that they would have towards code they wrote themselves. And that this creates incentives for manufacturers to figure out how to make that work.

This is music to my ears as an employee of Sonar/Tidelift, but booooyyyy. If they actually enforce that strictly it’ll simply be the end of software development in the EU.
