Two things worth knowing:
1. The most popular anesthetic for this procedure is Fentanyl. When the nurse told me this (afterward) I freaked out a bit, after all it’s killing people every day in my hometown; it had never occurred to her that this might bother someone.
2. The cleanout PegLyte process is unpleasant and I have found it helpful to remember, toward the end of the process, that white wine is a clear fluid.
