On the one hand, I’m glad that I back up all of my articles on Archive.org. It makes the process of retrieving lost content fairly trivial…
Except, of course, when I’m trying to get media that’s not actually part of the backup, and is just a dead link to a place where it used to be hosted.
I’m scrubbing through Dansup’s post history trying to find specific videos for #Pixelfed articles. It’s maddening.
