PR = public relations, the makeover is basically a reshaping of the public’s perception of the entity (this can take many forms), and right now Mastodon could use one _if_ the goal is getting more people to use it.
Example: I get laughed at whenever I bring up or encourage people to join Mastodon, because they have a bad perception of the platform (and often its users) based on their experience or something they’ve read. (1/2)
