to which they replied "sorry, our bad, i got some help from our DNS expert" and then they sent back the exact same file byte for byte but it was named "example.com.txt" this time.
my brother in christ I'M NOT STUPID, i know it's a goddamn text file and i sent you a screenshot of the text contents in the first response, i'm trying to tell you that this text is not in any kind of known standard format. the words in-between in the subdomain and record value aren't even english, they're in fucking Norwegian, there's no way this is compliant to anything.
After waiting almost two weeks for a response to step 0 of a DNS move, I just gave up and I had to spend like 45 minutes reading their garbage DNS export and typing out my own zonefile I could import, just to get this shit over with because my boss doesn't understand DNS either so he's asking ME why moving the records is so annoying.
these bastards have to idea what they're doing, there's like twenty fucking TXT records on their root
