I have a sako that's in 22 250. I hit within 3 in of the Dead Center of a qualifying Target at 900 yd. I was shooting polymer tips that Hornady made that cost me over $100 a box. I tried three more times and only my first shot was anywhere close. I went to a demo put on by by a few companies back in 2018. They were introducing this new subsonic 22 long rifle. They consistently shot well with it at 400 m using a Ruger American and a Bergara. Not sure where everyone thinks it's a long rifle though, I saw it happen live and that sounded pretty loud for it to be a 22 at that distance. Even tactical / X Tac subsonic are not that loud
