Have heard this many times of many people in positions of power - oh they're not stupid, they're cunning. I don't buy it sorry. I think maybe we don't want to admit we been taken in but absolutely I believe stupid people can and do reach positions of great power. In the UK for example we had Prime Minister Truss - she was as thick as a box of frogs.
