It's interesting you should say that. I didn't get into the subject of contraception in my previous post because it's a complicated moral issue, but it is an important root cause. Contraception allows a separation between sex and parenthood, which weakens family bonds, contributing to the rise of divorce, remarriage, and homes with step fathers. Most sexual abuse of children is by step fathers. A man is much less likely to abuse his own children, but the children of another man are much more vulnerable, especially when their father is absent.
