I'm a huge advocate for LGBT rights and I don't read it that way. I read it as a 🖕 and tactical move while people vent and figure out what's next.

As I said in my other comment: OF COURSE IT IS WORSE, that is literally the point, if they went to something *better* and *not Chinese* then the middle-finger would not be quite so pointed

However

I don't think it will actually last & there *are* actual better options (loops! Fediverse!). Folks will figure that out.
