Practicing solidarity, on the other hand, means centering the organic movements of marginalized voices working to change their own communities, and incorporating their policy needs in our electoral platforms. Which happens to be exactly how we activate marginalized people into the electorate!

Instead of yelling at the young and poor to vote for candidates sanitized for the suburbs, we practice solidarity by inviting their policy needs, not just their votes, into our electoral coalitions.
